My Childhood

I'm Ramon R. Pereyra Jr. The only son of Ramon L. Pereyra and Carolina R. Rebucas. I was born on Santolan, Pasig City (which makes me a proud PasigueƱo!) but Idon't really remember anything there because we transfered to Rivera Village, ParaƱaque City. But because of creepy stuffs happening within the house, we only stayed there for about a year then we transfered to a nearby area (Pildera II, Pasay City).

From here, my story would be more detailed because we stayed there for 11 years. First, let's talk about the area. Technically speaking, it's a squatters' area but It is somehow presentable, as far as the wide roads and high-rise houses are concerned. Though it may not totally represent the image of a squatters' area, some characteristics are still observable. Some of those are the presence of children playing on the streets and the "Territorial Mentality" of the dwellers, especially the youth.

Speaking of "Territorial Mentality," I remember one implied rule: "Never go to the next street without knowing someone who can protect you there; but above all, don't go to the street that is in rival with your street!" Affiliation is also important in our area. Lucky for me that I have a lot of friends from different streets, so I can move freely anywhere.

Sounds frightening? Actually, it's not. Even you don't have much acquaintances, there not much to be afraid of. Just avoid certain areas and you'll be safe. Friends will just be handy in case you will be the subject of the "trip" of the "tambays." The key to surviving in such area is to learn to mingle with different types of people and groups. It would also be helpful if you avoid being identified too much to a single group.

Hello World ! ! !

Hello World!

This is my 2nd blog. The first one is "Mental Fusion" but it's more on the technical side. As the title goes, I created it to share stuffs that I think would also be beneficial for others.

Anyway, enough about that. Let's talk about this one. This blog is more personal. Sort of an on-line diary. But I would not like to call it a diary because it sounds too feminine. Let's just call it a flashback.

Through this, I would reveal who I was and post some highlights of my life. Surely, my educational background, the type of environment where my foundations are laid upon, and some things that happen daily would be posted here.

My purpose for creating this if for me to reminisce those precious moments and to guide myself on what or who I should be. I'm also hoping that this blog would help me put back together pieces of me during the times that I feel broken.

In the event that those who know me would be reading this, I hope that through this you would understand me better so that we could forge a stronger bond of friendship.
